Meet James!

Hi! I'm Jay Barbour, your local Healthcare Relations Consultant for The SCOOTER Store in and around Newport News. The SCOOTER Store fulfills my mission of giving people with limited mobility the tools they need to continue their life journey. I'm able to see results that are gratifying and life changing. One of my customers drove her new power chair straight to the kitchen to get herself a drink of water. She had not seen her kitchen in five years! That day was "the first day of the rest of her life."

I've been around the world twice while in the US Marine Corps and I'm a veteran of the Gulf War. I enjoy spending time with my family and riding my motorcycle. My open and honest communication skills, along with my desire to help people, are what make me a successful Healthcare Relations Consultant. I firmly believe in the life motto, "Treat people like you want to be treated."
