Meet Heidi!

Hello, I'm Heidi Schiek, your local Healthcare Relations Consultant for The SCOOTER Store in and around Tyler. I am passionate about helping others and working here is the perfect fit for me. I forget this is a job because my work is so meaningful.

Each of my customers has a special place in my heart but there is one I'll never forget. I did an in-home evaluation for a gentleman who had a stroke and was too unstable to walk. I noticed lots of pictures in his home. His wife explained they were very active before his stroke; they traveled to see their children and grandchildren, and vacationed all around the world. We spent over an hour just visiting and looking at pictures. His wife said she was too weak to push him in a wheelchair so they now spent most of their time sitting in the house. I assured them that we would help them get back to the lifestyle they loved so much. When he got his power chair, this gentleman was able to visit family who he hadn't seen in several years. He called me in tears to thank me for giving him his life back. This is what motivates me to continue the mission of The SCOOTER Store.

When I'm not working I like to spend time playing tennis and I was once ranked in the top twenty in Texas for mixed doubles! I look forward to meeting you and answering your mobility questions!
