Meet Joshua!

Hi, I'm Josh Strickland, your local Healthcare Relations Consultant for The SCOOTER Store in and around Altoona. I love my job with The SCOOTER Store. Here's why:

A local senior services agency called me to see if I could help a gentleman whose power chair had broken down. Although the chair didn't come from us, I stopped to see if I could help. One of the wheels was disengaged so a simple flip of a lever brought his chair into working order. He broke into tears! He showed me his absentee ballot and threw it in a drawer. He pointed to his power chair and said, "I'm riding this to the polls!" It taught me that freedom and independence aren't just the ability to walk but the chance to be fully part of the American Dream.

When I'm not working I like to watch CNN. I'm a big history buff, and if I got the chance to meet anyone, living or dead, I would choose Benjamin Franklin, a brilliant inventor, philosopher and politician.
