Meet Todd!

Hello, I'm Todd Wilson, your local Healthcare Relations Consultant for The SCOOTER Store for Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming. I've worked for The SCOOTER Store for four years. I entered the power mobility field because I love to help others and the mission of this company is to do just that. People shouldn't have to feel trapped in their homes and I am fortunate enough to help see that doesn't happen. My job is very fulfilling to me because I have met some of the neatest people I have ever known. I especially enjoy meeting seniors who have served in the armed forces. I've been able to thank them personally for their service to our country.

Although I have been touched by the stories of every one of my customers, there is one who helped me realize how important mobility is to a person's sense of self. This woman was bound to her easy chair and had lost all hope. She was giving away her possessions and had no money: she told me she was preparing to die. She assumed she wouldn't qualify for Medicare and knew she couldn't pay for a power chair out of pocket. I did some research and discovered that she was eligible for Medicare coverage. When I told her the good news she broke into tears of joy. She now has a new lease on life through the gift of freedom and independence. It was a truly remarkable experience!
