Meet Ryan!

Hi, I'm Ryan Shaffer and I'm your local Healthcare Relations Consultant for The SCOOTER Store starting in the southwestern Detroit suburbs and including Jackson, Lansing, and Ann Arbor. I admire the mission and core values at The SCOOTER Store so much I decided to join the team and help make a positive difference in the lives of others. I enjoy the opportunity I have to build close relationships with my customers and the medical professionals I work with.

All my customers are special but there is one whose story I will never forget. This gentleman let me visit with him in his home for several hours. He had lost all hope and his sense of dignity. He said, "I would like to be able to get to the bathroom without falling on my face. I don't like falling and I'm sick of it but no one will help me." I fought back tears because no one should ever feel that way. When his power chair arrived he was overcome with emotions and thankfulness; the look on his face was priceless; we gave him back his sense of self.

I am an active person and spend my free time outdoors. I have a big heart and love taking care of others so please don't hesitate to call me with your power mobility questions!
