Meet Ken!

Hi, I'm Ken Pruyn and I am your local Healthcare Relations Consultant in and around Boston. I have 24 years' experience with power mobility and have a passion for working with people. I've seen what a wonderful difference power mobility can make in someone's life and came to The SCOOTER Store to do just that. My favorite part of my job is witnessing the moment someone rediscovers their freedom.

I remember working with one special customer. She lived alone after the tragic death of her son. As if losing a son wasn't painful enough, she no longer had help to get around. She suffered from cardiac and respiratory related conditions and really needed some help. She was losing hope. Thankfully, I was able to assist the doctor's office with the paperwork and she received her power chair. She said, "You don't know how thankful I am! I have immensely more freedom and I am very happy." Seeing her happy was great because I knew I was able to help her get a piece of her life back.

My life motto is to "Appreciate life!" Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, skiing, snorkeling, and hockey! I've traveled to Italy, Ireland, St. Maarten, and the Bahamas.
