Meet Perry!

Hi! My name is Perry Slater and I am your local Healthcare Relations Consultant for The SCOOTER Store in and around Tampa. Every new day at work I think of my grandmother, who was moved to a nursing home many years too early. If she had had a power chair, she could have stayed in her home and had a much happier life in her later years. I think of her often when I'm with the great people I am blessed to serve.

One of my most memorable customers is a woman who had been couch-ridden for several years. When she got her new power chair and started to move around her home on her own, I broke down crying with the rest of her family. Her independence let her express her beautiful inner self. It was pure magic.

I spent 21 years in the Navy and Navy Reserve, and I was also a host on the Home Shopping Network for several years. It was interesting, but not nearly as satisfying as what I do now. Away from work I'm a Little League baseball coach. I also love to play golf and fish with my boys.
