What would life be like without your power chair?
I'm in pain 24 hours a day.
So when my hips started hurting, the doctor said they were not going to be able to repair them, so that I better get a chair to take some of the pressure off. So it made a big difference.
Our hallways are so long here that the walk for me was from one end to the other and it was getting very hard for me to do.? I can do it sometimes, but sometimes I can't. So the chair takes care of that problem.
Well, I can get around and do almost anything, I can, you know, I have friends who live in the other part of this building - the other part of this facility...and it's a long walk from here to there and I have very good friends there that I couldn't visit because I couldn't walk there.? And now I get in the scooter and in two or three minutes I'm over there.
I am so accustomed to the freedom now that I would have a hard time doing without it.
I love mine, absolutely love it.
