Michael Clark
Senior Vice President and General Counsel
Michael Clark joined The SCOOTER Store in August 2006 and is a member of the executive team. He is in charge of all legal matters, risk management and safety for the company.
Prior to joining The SCOOTER Store, Mr. Clark was General Counsel for Steves & Sons, Inc., one of the nation's largest door manufacturers. While at Steves & Sons, he was a member of the executive team and in addition to his responsibilities for legal matters, he was in charge of a wide variety of the business operations such as strategic planning, supplier/vendor relationships, risk management, safety and environmental compliance. Prior to his time with Steves & Sons, Mr. Clark was a partner in Clemens & Spencer, P.C. an AV-rated law firm, handling both litigation and business transaction matters. Mr. Clark has personally litigated numerous large multi-mullion dollar cases.
Mr. Clark was born in Chicago, Illinois, but spent most of his early years in Arizona and Colorado, moving to Austin, Texas at age 15. Mr. Clark holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University) and obtained his J.D., with high honors, from St. Mary's School of Law.
Michael Clark lives in a small country town in Texas with his family and raises quarter horses. He founded and chairs the Sharon Clark Mission Foundation, Inc., named in honor of his first wife, who passed away in 1998. The foundation builds/repairs churches in third world countries and sponsors missionaries. Mr. Clark also leads a grief counseling program and teaches Sunday school for college age young adults.
