Fred Stepan
Executive Vice President of Finance
Fred Stepan joined The SCOOTER Store in August 2002 and serves as Executive Vice President of Finance. He is currently responsible for the accounting, taxes, financial reporting, billing and collections and treasury for The SCOOTER Store. In addition, he oversees the administration of the company's Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). While leading our Finance Department, he was responsible for developing and implementing the financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash management systems of The SCOOTER Store.
Prior to joining The SCOOTER Store, Stepan served executive roles as Chief Financial Officer for Symtx, an Austin-based supplier of custom test systems, and Vice President of Finance & Administration for Austin-based ALL.com, a Dell Joint Venture providing online tech support. He also spent 14 years at Dex Media, a $1.8 billion directory company in Colorado, in various senior financial management positions.
Stepan is a CPA and holds a B.A. in accounting from the University of Notre Dame and an M.B.A from the University of Washington. He has also undergone executive training at Stanford University, Wharton and the Center for Creative Leadership. He is a current member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Financial Executives International.
