Doug Harrison
Founder, President and CEO
Doug Harrison founded The SCOOTER Store in 1991 with his wife Susanna. Under his leadership, the company has grown from one small store in New Braunfels, Texas, to a multi-million dollar company with more than 1,000 employees in 47 states that has changed the lives of more than 250,000 customers. Mr. Harrison also takes pride in the 40% employee-ownership of the company.
Mr. Harrison and his team created a principle-centered business of tremendous value to all of its customers and employees. The SCOOTER Store was placed by FORTUNE Magazine on the 100 Best Places to Work list. Mr. Harrison, his team, and every employee-owner of The SCOOTER Store are proud to be part of a business dramatically improving the life of every customer while saving Medicare and the taxpayer more than $2 for every $1 invested in power mobility.

Mr. Harrison graduated from the Colorado School of Mines in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science degree in petroleum engineering. More than any business accomplishment he could ever achieve, Mr. Harrison is most proud of his three children: Abby, Trevor and Lauren.
